Leva’s In Home Senior Care, is more than a caregiving agency it is a living tribute to Leva “Becky” Martinez, LPN, a woman whose life embodied strength, compassion, and lifelong service.

Born to Mexican immigrant parents, Leva grew up in Chicago and carried their values of hard work, dignity, and resilience into everything she did. As a nurse at Illinois Central Railway Hospital in Hyde Park, she served countless patients with grace, skill, and compassion, But her care didn’t end at the hospital doors— she was the neighbor who showed up, the voice in local politics who stood up for the underserved, and the heart of a community that leaned on her strength.

From a young age, I had the privilege of watching her in action. Leva taught me what it truly means to care—not just with your hands, but with your heart. To listen. To uplift, To stand in the gap when others can’t.

Because of her, caregiving became more than a calling—it became sacred.

Today, her legacy lives on in every home we visit, every client we comfort, and every act of kindness our team offers. Whether it's personal care, homemaker assistance, or case management, our work is guided by the example she set.
